LUCA GUALDI

Luca Gualdi MD, is an ophthalmologist trained at Università di Tor Vergata (PTV) in Rome - Italy. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Cataract in Universidade de São Paulo (USP) – Brazil.

Luca Gualdi MD, is the Director of Cataract and Refractive Surgery Unit at D.O.M.A. (Diagnostica Oftalmologica e Chirurgia Ambulatoriale). He is author of numerous abstracts, papers, courses, chapters and books. Dr.Luca Gualdi is involved as instructor in many Refractive and Cataract Surgery courses mainly focused on: Presbyopia, Premium and Phakic IOLs, Corneal Cross-Linking, Iontophoresis, Intracorneal Rings, Dry-Eye, Femtosecond Cataract Surgery, Ciliary Muscle Electrostimulation and Laser Scleral Microporation with Erbium laser.

He has directed as volounter, various humanitartan missions in Tanzania, Brazil, India and Cambodia attending and operating patients expecially affected by cataract and glaucoma.

In 2018 won the Waring Medal and actually is regular reviewer/editor on Journal of Refractive Surgery, International Ophthalmology and Current Trends in Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences.
