ANDREW TURNBULL
Andy Turnbull is a Consultant Cataract and Refractive surgeon based in Bournemouth, UK. After completing two corneal fellowships, including one with Professor Graham Barrett in Australia, Andy commenced his NHS Consultant post at University Hospitals Dorset where he is now Royal College of Ophthalmologists Tutor and Clinical Lead for Cataract Surgery. In addition to his NHS work, Andy runs a busy private practice in Bournemouth (South Coast Vision) and performs laser vision correction at Laser Vision Eye Centre near Southampton.
Andy is a Visiting Professor at Ulster University and leads the PGDipCRS modules on lens surgery, phakic lens implants and astigmatism. He has been an elected Council Member of UKISCRS since 2022 and in 2023 was nominated as one of the inaugural Fellows of the World College of Refractive Surgery and Visual Sciences.
